MPR Review Of War Criminal-Suffer

“Making their metal forefathers proud”

“What metal was suppose to morph into”

“Well done, War Criminal, well done!”

These were my initial thoughts as I listened to War Criminal’s ep, “Suffer.”

From standout tracks like “Love Cycle” (my favorite ) to “Curse “, will not be disappointed if you’re a true fan of the straight forward hardcore sound.

Straight forward guitars, bass, a heavy groove orchestrated by a talented drummer, and a monstrous voice that pierces through their wall of sound (saying I’m fucking here too!) define their sound.

Tracks are solid throughout, and they would be a great live band for sure. Genuine without trickery, what you hear on the tracks is pretty much what you would hear live.  And that’s exactly how it should be.

MPR scores:

Overall musicianship – 9 out of 10 (excellent throughout)

Vocal style – 9 out of 10 (in your face and hardcore)

Overall song composition – 8.5 out of 10 (better than average)

Originality – 8.5 out of 10 (you know who you are hearing)
